STANDARD: LOWER/UPPER INTERMEDIATE

A weekend workshop for folk instrumentalists and singers. Whatever acoustic instrument you play (fiddle, fretted instruments, whistles/flute, squeeze boxes, etc) you're welcome! You are also welcome if you simply like to sing! The two tutors are both singers and multi-instrumentalists who can offer some one-to-one guidance if time permits. We'll have simple parts for anything you bring and some of the music will be sent in advance. We'll work through about 8 tunes and songs with arrangements, splitting into smaller groups when necessary, then come back together for the whole "orchestra". You don't need to read music, but no absolute beginners, please. On the first evening there will be an informal session where you’re welcome to perform your own songs/tunes and the course fee also includes entry to a concert on the Saturday evening given by Jon and Liz’s 4-piece group Moonrakers (Celtic harp, fiddle, stringed instruments, female/male vocals, www.moonrakers.net).
