An opportunity to play a varied repertoire of clarinet music in a friendly environment at a standard that matches your ability.

What is the course about?

The team of Paul Harris, George Sleightholme and Hannah Shimwell offers the opportunity for clarinettists of all abilities to focus on wide-ranging repertoire with like-minded players. We will find a group suited to your ability for workshops and choirs at the appropriate level, as well as sessions focusing on technique and musicianship.

What will you learn?

Sightreading, balance, intonation, listening and responding while working within various small and large ensembles. By the end of this course you will be able to feel confident playing the range of repertoire and celebrate the joy of making music together.

How will the course be taught?

A combination of group and full choir sessions tailored according to your appropriate playing level. No preparation is required. There will be classes for the more inexperienced players, with focus on sound production, intonation that will help prepare the group for the larger ensembles.

Will music be provided and do you need to prepare or bring anything?

Music will be provided by the tutors on the course. All you need to bring is you and your clarinet(s)!
