The Rose Consort of Viols returns to Benslow Music music with a concert as part of our Summer Viols celebration.
With a mastery crafted over nearly four decades, the Rose Consort of Viols elegantly brings to life musical treasures from the 16th and 17th centuries. In this concert, they tour through the English royal court’s fascination with Italian music and the musicians who supplied their art. Through dances, fantasias and madrigals they'll explore music by composer including Alfonso Ferrabosco, Thomas Lupo, Luca Marenzio, Giovanni Bassano and John Coprario.
