News Story
We’re delighted to share our programme of short courses for the first half of 2027, which you can now browse online.
This season we continue to offer a wide range of musical adventures designed to support you in developing your playing, discovering new music and making connections with fellow musicians. You’ll find many returning and much-loved courses covering chamber music, specialist instrument workshops, jazz improvisation and folk tunes. There’s also the return of our Baroque Oratorio Project which this year focuses on music by Henry Purcell and his contemporaries written for St Cecilia’s Day.
We’re pleased to introduce a number of courses that are new for 2027, including:
- A specialist focus on baroque flutes (traverso) with Georgia Browne
- A weekend immersion into playing folk fiddle with Grace Smith
- A feast of recorder consorts with Palisander
- An exploration of the gypsy jazz style with Seonaid Aitken and Cornelius Corkery
You’ll also find opportunities for late starters and those early in their playing journey as well as one-day courses including our Discovery Days for baroque instruments.
You can explore the courses on our website with our advanced search function available to help you find the course for you. Browse courses now.
