Anna Tilbrook is one of Britain’s leading pianists, celebrated for her artistry in song recitals and chamber music. Since her Wigmore Hall debut in 1999, she has performed at major venues across Europe and the U.S., including Carnegie Hall, Het Concertgebouw, and the Edinburgh, Aldeburgh, and Oxford Lieder Festivals.
She collaborates with many of today’s foremost artists, including James Gilchrist, Lucy Crowe, Barbara Hannigan, Roderick Williams, Iestyn Davies, Natalie Clein, Jess Gillam, and Sol Gabetta. Her work with Welsh National Opera has featured televised performances with Angela Gheorghiu, José Carreras, and Bryn Terfel.
Anna’s acclaimed discography includes English song cycles with James Gilchrist for Linn and Chandos, and Schubert’s song cycles for Orchid Classics, with Die schöne Müllerin named Gramophone Editor’s Choice. Their recording of Winterreise was BBC Music Magazine’s Recording of the Month.
She is a sought-after chamber musician, performing with quartets such as the Carducci, Elias, and Sacconi, and curating projects for BBC Radio 3 and festivals including JAM on the Marsh. In 2023, she served on the jury for the Cardiff Singer of the World Song Prize.
In 2021, she released Longing with Lucy Crowe, featuring Strauss’s Four Last Songs. Anna was made a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music in 2025.
