Morassi Quartet

Regarded as ‘artists who play as one, with an emotional maturity belying their years’, the quartet aim to bring a fresh and bold flavour to the chamber music scene.
The Morassi Quartet have performed at the Lake District Summer Music, Dartington Summer Music, and Berkshire Chamber Music Festivals, and they also have an international presence after performing at the “Muzyka u Źródeł” Festival in Bydgoszcz, Poland in November 2023.
The Quartet performed a sold out recital for the Royal Albert Hall’s Classical Coffee Mornings series in the Elgar Room in 2024, and they have performed at many other prestigious venues around the UK, including Garsington Opera, Southwark Cathedral, Brighton Royal Pavilion, St Paul’s Cathedral and for music clubs such as the Hoddesdon Music Club and Stockbridge Music. This season the Quartet look forward to performing in a recital for ‘Benslow Music’ and Amersham ‘Woodside Summer Recitals’, as well as performing in an interactive production at the ‘Waterperry Opera Festival’ this August, and also as part of the Lichfield Music Festival.
In June 2024, the Morassi Quartet were invited to the Tunnell Trust’s ‘Music Coll’, where they were mentored by Jonathan Tunnell, Scott Dickinson, and Ralph de Souza. The Quartet have received regular guidance from many other distinguished chamber musicians, including Simon Rowland-Jones and Yuri Zhislin. They have also collaborated with members of the Brodsky, Marmen, Sacconi, Barbican and Chiaroscuro Quartets.
During their studies at the RCM, the quartet performed in many concerts and festivals, including the annual Chamber Music Festival, Super String Sunday, FestivALL, and chamber music series dedicated to Bartók and Vaughan Williams. A highlight of their time at RCM was performing Mozart’s String Quintet No. 4 in G minor in the 2023 Chamber Music Festival with Bryony Gibson Cornish, violist of the Marmen Quartet.
