Violinist and vocalist Seonaid Aitken is one of the busiest players on the UK scene. She is a winner of the Scottish Jazz Award both for her work with gypsy jazz band, Rose Room, and for her singing. She works with Roy Percy’s group Swing 2019, has collaborated with the Tokyo Django Collective and with guitar virtuoso Martin Taylor. Seonaid also presents her ‘Jazz Nights’ programme for BBC Radio
Scotland and has arranged music for the new RoaldDahl film ‘EsioTrot’, the
National Theatre and Scottish supergroup, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers.
