Stephanie Reeve
Clarinet
Stephanie began playing the clarinet in her home town of Northampton and was a member of the County Youth Music Service and County Youth Orchestra. She graduated from Trinity College of Music winning prizes for chamber music and woodwind performance.
She moved to Cambridgeshire from London in 2005 and leads an incredibly varied musical life as a performer, teacher and ensemble director. She has given recitals and concerts at many venues all over the UK and in 2025 performed the Mozart Clarinet Concerto with Huntingdonshire Philharmonic Orchestra.
She plays all members of the clarinet family and regularly performs with orchestras and chamber ensembles across Cambridgeshire. As a saxophonist she has appeared at Cheltenham Jazz Festival and at the John Peel Centre, Suffolk with funk rock band Mullholland Jive.
As well as teaching clarinet and saxophone privately and in schools Stephanie has worked with the Cambridgeshire County Youth Orchestra and is currently Woodwind Tutor for Saffron Walden Children's Orchestra and a regular tutor for Cambridge Holiday Orchestra Association.
As Principal Conductor of the Palace Band, a large adult woodwind ensemble, Stephanie has commissioned works, arranged music and directed the band in concerts in Ceret, and Brittany, France. She regularly works as a coach for courses at Benslow Music Trust, Hitchin, and has led playdays and workshops for the Clarinet & Saxophone Society and the ACE Foundation at Stapleford Granary, Cambridge.
Stephanie's MA study in Music Psychology compared the ways in which adults and children learn musical instruments and she continues to take an interest in the ways in which all ages learn musical instruments. Stephanie regularly contributes to Clarinet & Saxophone magazine and manages the Clarinet & Saxophone Society of Great Britain’s library.
