What is the course about?
Join us together with your wind ensemble for an engaging and hands-on workshop, as the London Myriad Ensemble returns to Benslow Music.
This unique course is designed to explore how an established wind ensemble functions, offering tailored advice to your ensemble, and looking in-depth at how to improve your playing and rehearsal skills. Players from the Myriad Ensemble will share advice on rehearsal technique and performance issues as well as specific tips for each instrument where needed. It’s the perfect opportunity to develop your playing as a group and fine tune any issues or challenges you may have experienced.

How will the course be taught?
Each ensemble will work intensively with one-on-one coaching from each of the members of the Myriad Ensemble, offering a range of musical perspectives and advice. The course is purely practical and tailored to your needs as an ensemble. We usually end the course with a relaxed concert sharing from each ensemble.
Who is the course for?
This course is ideal for wind ensembles who work together regularly and would benefit from focused time with a tutor. We welcome applications from any configuration of wind or wind and piano ensembles from trios upwards.
Will music be provided and do you need to prepare or bring anything?
Please choose a range of music you would like to work on as an ensemble with our tutors - it can be from any genre or period. You’ll need to bring copies with you, and some spares for our tutors. Our Library here at Benslow Music is open to course members, if helpful.
